About
What We Provide
VAC provides one to one support for people with leave to remain to look at volunteering as a way to develop their skills and confidence, gain experience and have a reference to put on job applications. We also provide 6 – 8-week training workshops that enable people to explore confidence and communication, as well as identify and develop longer term goals and aspirations. These skills are valuable to people who want to volunteer, but also for those seeking employment, or making positive steps in their lives.
We also contribute to Integrate Coventry by connecting with voluntary organisations, enabling them to develop and put helpful measures in place to offer positive volunteering opportunities to refugees. We have a workshop for voluntary organisations to help them develop processes and understand some of the issues affecting refugees in the City.
